Free Programs for Foster Families

The Fostering Growth Foundation offers free, grant-funded programs for families who are currently involved in foster care or who have previously experienced foster care.

These services are designed to reduce barriers to care and ensure children and families can access high-quality, trauma-informed support regardless of financial circumstances. Through grant funding, the Foundation is able to provide programs that support emotional regulation, sensory needs, life skills development, and therapeutic services that promote healing and long-term stability.

Fresh Start Packs

Fresh Start Packs at The Fostering Growth Foundation are thoughtfully prepared care kits for children entering foster care. Each pack includes essential comfort and hygiene items designed to help ease transitions during a difficult and often overwhelming time.

These packs provide children with immediate, tangible support—helping them feel seen, cared for, and a little more at ease as they move into a new placement.

Sensory Access Program

The Sensory Access Program aims to provide sensory-friendly environmental modification and caregiver support services to foster families. This includes assessing the child's living environment and implementing individualized strategies to support sensory regulation, behavior, and functional participation. Services may include environmental adaptations, provision of sensory tools or equipment, and hands-on caregiver coaching to support consistent implementation of strategies. These services are delivered primarily in the child's home or placement setting by licensed occupational therapists and trained staff.
